Kiddey Keys: Recreational Music Making for Adults
“Piano for Fun and Fulfillment”
Learn to play the piano in a stress-free environment with an emphasis on experiencing the joy of making music. This course is developed for beginners or for those who have forgotten how to play. Available in private or group settings at Keynote.
Recreational Music Making is a concept founded by nationally-known piano teacher Brenda Dillon, a long-time advocate of adult and group piano study. It was developed by a national music organization known as NAMM, the International Music Products Association.
Kiddey Keys lessons are a unique opportunity for adults to learn how to play piano and to read music in a relaxed atmosphere with the emphasis on student goals rather than teacher goals. Teachers guide and partner with adults who really want to learn. One of the tenets of the Kiddey Keys program is that it’s about exceptional support and personal experience rather than exceptional performance.
The term recreational is derived from the Latin root, “recreation,” which means restoration to health. Scientists at leading centers throughout the world are discovering a clear and consistent link between our lifestyle choices and our overall health. The Kiddey Keys course is designed to bring pleasure, fun, fulfillment, and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Kiddey Keys-style teaching may be done in private or group lessons. Fees vary. Contact Keynote for more information. |
