Lesson Policies & Procedures:

LESSON DAY AND TIME: Your lesson day and time are reserved for you. Please respect the teacher’s time and arrive on time each week. If you are late, the lesson will still end on schedule, so the following student’s lesson is not delayed.

MISSED LESSONS & MAKE-UP LESSONS: No make-up lessons will be given unless due to illness or weather. Make-up lessons will be limited to 2 per teaching year. An occasional missed lesson will not affect overall progress as long as home practice is maintained. No refunds will be given for missed lessons. If a teacher is unable to teach, we will try to provide a substitute teacher.

If a student is ill, please try to call 24 hours in advance if possible. If there is bad weather or schools are closed, Keynote School of Music may or may not close, since often the weather is better by later in the day. We will update our voice mail message to let you know, or we will call you if possible. Our School will contact the teacher to arrange a make-up lesson.

CONCERTS:  All students are welcome to participate in Keynote Concerts and other performances.  However, no student is required to perform in any Concert. 

WITHDRAWALS: If you choose to discontinue lessons, please notify Keynote School of Music one month in advance. Withdrawals must be done in person at the School office and not with the teacher. No withdrawals may be made after May 1 for the academic year.

To withdraw from lessons, a parent or adult student must:

1. Inform Keynote Music School front office in person or in writing.

2. Monthly Direct Deposit payments will be stopped after the month’s notice.

3. Lesson fees paid in advance for the session or year will be refunded after the month’s notice.
