Private Lessons: September-May
Keynote School of Music offers options of 30-minute, 45-minute or one-hour private weekly lessons.  Once a student has a lesson time scheduled, that day and time are reserved with the same teacher each week.  There are two “Sessions” of 16 weeks: Fall and Winter.  Each Session has occasional breaks for holidays.  For those who choose 45 minute or one hour lessons, computer theory and other technology is available during the lesson time, planned and supervised by the private teacher. Adults may take alternate-week lessons if another adult can be scheduled on the same lesson day and time.

Adults may also choose to “pay as you go” and schedule lessons on a week-by-week basis, but the lesson day and time may vary based on the teacher’s availability.

For new students only: A five-lesson package is available to try out lessons. This is only available in September and January.  Following the trial lessons, the student must decide whether to continue by reserving a lesson time for the remainder of the Session.

Those who enroll for lessons mid-Session will have the cost of lessons prorated for the balance of the Session.

Keynote Classes:  Fall and Winter 2011-2012

“Seven-Up Choir” is for children aged 7-12.  It is designed for young singers to learn vocal fundamentals while singing age-appropriate songs.  They sing rounds, partner songs, and songs with sign, gesture and choreography while learning proper vocal technique.  Benefits include improved listening skills, problem solving, and hand-eye coordination.  Music reading is taught and students learn about different styles of music. The Seven-Up Choir is available and encouraged to perform in the community as well as at Keynote Concerts.  Four-week sessions of 45-minute weekly classes will be offered on Wednesday evenings.

“Kiddy Keys” is for children age 2 ½ to 5.     It is a music discovery & piano exploration class, meeting weekly for 30 minutes for 16 weeks in Fall and Winter.  Children may enroll at any time and the fee will be pro-rated.  No piano required at home, but children are introduced to piano concepts and music appreciation.  Children use small and large motor skills, learn notes and note values, develop math skills as well as listening, verbal and creative skills.  For more information, contact Keynote for a KiddyKeys brochure or see www.kiddykeys.com
